Yogahome offers Pilates classes in a variety of styles, with teachers of different backgrounds.

Our teachers vary greatly in their approach, so do try them all or contact us for advice anytime.

If you are pre or post natal, visit our pregnancy, birth and beyond section.

Mat Pilates

Pilates is a technique for strengthening and toning the core postural muscles, mainly in the abdominal area and the back.

Using small focused movements, core awareness is increased improving strength, flexibility and posture.

Our Mat Pilates classes take place on a yoga mat, and you may use other small props like a ball, weights or resistance band.

Teachers vary greatly in style, with some weaving in aerobic, spinal release or deep stretching movements into their classes.

Contact us anytime for guidance.

Power Pilates

Led by Brooke McConochy, Power Pilates is a mat-based class that offers a strong workout focused on core strength and fat burn.

Expect to work up a sweat, while performing traditional Pilates exercises at a dynamic, sustained pace.

This class is for all levels, but expect a strong workout with options to dial back the intensity if you need to.

Reformer Pilates

Reformer Pilates is done using the Pilates reformer machine, adding resistance to the Pilates exercises via the use of the springs, which form part of the machine.

Using the Reformer you will work on building balance, alignment, core strength and muscle tone. Whether you are a yoga or Pilates practitioner, mixing up your routine with the Reformer machine opens new possibilities for building strength, muscle and body awareness and perfecting your posture and alignment.

Our classes host a maximum of 4 participants, providing an intimate environment and individualised attention. We offer a range of Reformer classes to suit your level of fitness and experience: Introduction, Essential, Conditioning and Athletic. If you are unsure what level class to join, check out our guide to classes and levels.

***Please note that if you’re new to Reformer Pilates at Yogahome, we require that your first session is either our Introduction or a private session. It’s essential that you choose one of these options before booking in for any of the classes. After completing the orientation or a private session, you can start our Reformer classes with confidence.***
