Due to the risks related to COVID-19, all therapies are currently suspended.

We hope to resume therapies from September, pending on the evolution of COVID-19 and official health guidelines.

At Yogahome, we have three experienced therapists who offer a wide range of treatments such as hot oil massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and shiatsu.

Contact us to book an appointment or get advice on the right therapy for you.

We offer 60, 90 and 120 minute therapy sessions – you can pay per session or purchase a packaged deal. View our Prices page for more information.

Our cancellation policy requires 24 hours notice minimum, or the full fee is payable.

Aromatherapy is a specialised complementary therapy which uses naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants, flowers, fruits, leafs and seeds to balance and harmonise the body at all levels – physical, emotional and spiritual.

Essential oils are specially prepared to suit the client’s profile and needs, and massaged into the body.

This process stimulates the release of beneficial chemicals within the body responsible for healing various imbalances.

Chavutti Thirumal

This massage by foot pressure is unique as the practitioner uses their feet to deliver almost the entire treatment.

Muscles are ironed out and toned with flowing continuous strokes.

It is suitable for anyone as the pressure can be deep but is completely controlled.

Chavutti feels like no other massage, it is powerful yet surprisingly fluid and smooth.

The minimum time for this massage is 90 minutes.

Therapist/s: Karina Messer

Deep tissue massage

A strong, deep massage using oils.

Deep tissue work is especially useful for treating imbalances, pain and tension caused by the overworking of certain muscle groups.

It is also highly effective in addressing problems such as RSI, tendonitis, and sport-related tension.

Hot oil massage

The exceptional quality of this massage lies in its use of heated oil combined with a variety of techniques drawn from ayurvedic and holistic massage, lymphatic therapy, deep tissue and sports massage.

Tailored to your individual constitution and specific requirements, this type of massage can ease a lot of aches and pain, and is deeply relaxing.

Reflexology treats the whole body by working on the feet.

The feet reflect the organs and structures of the body.

The therapist detects and clears any imbalances or blockages in points in the feet, helping to heal and restore balance, as well as promote positive energy flow in the body.

It works effectively on a variety of levels and is deeply relaxing.

It can energise, boost the immune system, improve circulation, help with detoxification and elimination, balance hormones, rebalance the body and strengthens body function.

Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing Japanese healing therapy, working with vital energy or “ki” that flows through your body.

It can help us recover our life force and help us feel better physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Signs of trapped or unavailable life force are symptoms that won’t go away, feeling unmotivated or fed up with your job or relationships and wanting something to change.

As things begin to shift you may feel in better health, more joyful, creative and confident. The world can quite literally look clearer and brighter.

Shiatsu is your own private healing session and can also play a nurturing role in your Yoga and Pilates practice.

You will need to wear warm comfortable clothing with socks and loose trousers.

You will lie comfortably on your back, side or front on a shiatsu futon as you are stretched and specific points are worked using thumbs, palms and even feet.

It can be gentle, or sometimes dynamic, but always relaxing.

The most common issues that people bring to a session are: stress, sciatica, back pain, migraine, fatigue, anxiety, depression, PMS, sports injuries, digestive disorders, insomnia and asthma.

Thai yoga massage

Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art that has been an integral part of traditional Thai medicine, related to Tui Na (Chinese), Ayurvedic (Indian) and Shiatsu (Japanese) massage.

It is based on the concept of Qi, an energy line system through which the body’s life force flows.

The massage releases blocked energy, and frees the body’s natural healing potential, thus restoring balance, health and harmony.

The therapist applies a combination of acupressure, gentle rocking and twisting, joint and spine mobilizations and assisted yoga stretches, using body-weight instead of strength, in a steady and meditative rhythm.

Thai Yoga Massage is done on a firm futon on the floor with the recipient dressed in light clothes.

Pregnancy & post natal therapies

Pregnancy proving to be uncomfortable? Baby overdue? We have a whole range of treatments with our specialist therapists that could be perfect for you.

Shiatsu, pregnancy massage and reflexology have been known to help bring on labour in cases where the baby is overdue.

Pregnancy Shiatsu

Try shiatsu with Caroline Bozkurt, who has over 10 years experience of using shiatsu to help pregnant women with nausea, heartburn, back ache and anxiety.

She is also available to help couples who wish to use shiatsu during labour.

Pregnancy massage

Pregnancy massage stimulates blood circulation so that more oxygen and nutrients become available to the body’s tissues, helping combat fatigue, increase vitality, and optimising the comfort and nourishment of your baby.

Pregnancy massage helps with common problems related to your changing body during pregnancy, such as muscular stiffness, calf cramps, swelling of hands/feet, insomnia and mood swings.

Fumie also provides remedial massage for neck and shoulder, lower back and sciatic pain that may develop during pregnancy.

Baby massage

We also offer baby massage for newborns and babies up to approximately 1 year old, so you can learn techniques for therapeutic touch and bonding with your baby.

You will learn a whole baby massage sequence in just one session!

Massaging your baby helps you bond with therapeutic touch and supports your baby’s development, helping deepen the breath, relieve abdominal tension, improve joint flexibility and muscle strength, and release birth trauma.

Please bring a large bath towel and some spare nappies.

Organic Sunflower Oil will be provided however, please bring your own if you have already started using a particular one.

60 or 90 min session depending on the age/size of your baby.

The session can be attended by one or two parents/carers.

Private sessions

As well as group classes we offer personal yoga and Pilates one-to-one sessions tailored to your needs and preferences.

With one-to-ones, the teacher can address specific issues or questions, which is not always possible in a group class, and create a suitable plan for you based on your goals and needs.

Private yoga and Pilates are also wonderful during pregnancy and postnatally, addressing physical and emotional changes, preparing you to birth, and helping you regain strength and manage energy levels.

Private yoga sessions

Private yoga sessions are perfect to get started in yoga, focus on specific aspects such as posture, flexibility and stamina, and to support you through conditions, injuries, stress-related issues, pregnancy and postnatal recovery.

They are also great to deepen a particular area of your practice if you are already experienced.

You benefit from enough time, individual attention and feedback to learn how to modify poses that present challenges for you, and to explore poses and breathing techniques safely.

You also get help in building a self practice, and the luxury of asking any questions you like!

Private Pilates sessions

With private sessions, the instructor can select the most relevant aspects of Pilates exercises with you to help you address any alignment and postural issues, understand core stability better, and find the best exercises for you and any physical conditions or injuries you have.

Private postnatal Pilates sessions will help to regain strength and stability in a safe, long-lasting way.

This is a great time to build a strong base as you are in a privileged position to work from a plain canvas and will help you deal with the postural demands of life with a little one.

Private tuition can also help you address common pre and postnatal related issues such as back pain, sciatica, pelvic girdle pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, diastasis recti and pelvic organ prolapse.

Whether you have been referred to yoga or Pilates following an injury or illness, or whether you are a beginner and don’t know where to start, or inclusive packages will help you build a healthy routine and create a personalised plan for a long-lasting practice.
