Rob Rea, AKA That Breath Guy, will be leading a monthly pop up class between September and December 2023, as well as two Transformational Breathing workshops.

Breathwork is a term for various breathing practices in which the conscious control of breathing is said to influence a person’s mental, emotional or physical state, with a therapeutic effect. Breathwork can encompass anything from simply being conscious and mindful about your breath to purposefully influencing it through specific practices and techniques.

Breathing is part of the autonomic nervous system (ANS), which connects involuntary bodily functions to the rest of the body. It is something we do every day, regardless of whether we are aware of it or not.

Even in times of stress, our breath automatically responds by shortening and speeding up.

But with practice, breath can also be controlled—allowing us to utilise it as a calming tool during times of stress. By using specific breathwork techniques you learn to control your central nervous system, and can integrate their use into everyday life.

This will be an introduction to breathwork and available to everyone. We’ll look at some simple assessments we can do to check in with the state of the breath, why we breathe in certain ways and some short connecting breathwork exercises we can do to connect the mind and the body.

We’ll explore specifically how breathwork can be used to reduce excitability of the brain and ready the mind and body for sleep. You’ll finish the class with exercises that you can use that very night.

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
We’ll explore specifically how breathwork can be used to overcome peak moments of stress and talk about the different ways to build resilience, and the importance of building a daily practice.

Not all Breathwork is for calming the body down. Sometimes, it works to prepare the body for a big event, or to take yourself out of a sluggish mood. We’ll look at exercises that can take us into a more alert state and discuss why they can benefit the system.Decembe


We have scheduled two Conscious Connected Breathing workshops with Rob. These transformational breathing  workshops explore breathwork practices that can alter your state and create conditions for emotional release. This can be both profound and powerful.

Rob, AKA That Breath Guy, stumbled upon the remarkable practice of breathwork about 10 years ago during his time in Bali. Since then, he has delved into various breathwork techniques, immersing himself in the profound teachings of pranayama from yoga, functional breathwork, breathwork for optimizing performance, and breathwork methods for releasing stagnant patterns held within the body.
