MENOPAUSE YOGA WORKSHOPS

We are thrilled to be introducing a series of Menopause Yoga workshops into our busy schedule of events!

Led by Tiffy George, the workshops support women who are going through menopause, specifically addressing the many symptoms that occur during the different stages of menopause.

These workshops offer a platform to share experiences with other women, laugh and embrace the changes while also learning from each other.

MENOPAUSE YOGA WORKSHOP FOR HOT FLUSHES AND HOT EMOTIONS
with Tiffy George

Sat, July 1, 2023
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
£35

Hot flushes are the most common menopause symptom. The feeling can vary from a mild glow to an endless torrent of sweat, and for some it can cause insomnia, disrupt work and destroy confidence. Hot emotions are also common and, when rages seem to tear out of nowhere, they can feel bewildering or like you are going mad.

In this workshop we’ll look at the physiological understanding of what’s going on, the triggers behind these intense symptoms, and we’ll also get snuggled in with some deeply soothing guided meditation to explore the transformational possibilities.

This workshop will offer a toolkit of techniques, guidance, reflection and support to help you move through your menopause journey with ease and confidence. It will provide an enjoyable and safe space where women can come together and share their experiences, laugh and embrace the changes while also learning from one another. Beginners to experienced yoga students are all welcome.

Included in the workshop:
• An introduction to the stages of menopause and how hormone changes affect our body and mind.
• A safe and supportive women’s circle.
• A yoga practice especially designed to soothe hot flushes and hot emotions, including breathing techniques, gentle vinyasa flow, restorative yoga and mindful meditation practices.
• Journaling and self reflection.
• Handouts

MENOPAUSE YOGA WORKSHOP FOR ANXIETY, OVERWHELM AND FATIGUE
with Tiffy George

Sun, October 15, 2023
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
£35

Menopause involves huge physical and psychological changes. It’s a time of increased sensitivity and vulnerability, and women often feel unsettling levels of intensified anxiety, overwhelm and fatigue. Fluctuating hormones are largely the cause, yet stressful life circumstances are also a trigger. We simply don’t have the energy to continue giving out while our menopause transformation is underway.

This workshop offers guidance, reflection and support to help you move through your menopause journey with ease and confidence. We will look at the underlying causes of increased anxiety, overwhelm and fatigue during menopause, you will be offered a toolkit of techniques for reducing stress and restoring balance in your nervous system, and we will explore ways to lean in to the menopause experience for it’s potential for growth and renewal as you cross the threshold into a new season of life.

This workshop provides an enjoyable and safe space where women can come together and share their experiences, laugh and embrace the changes while also learning from one another. Practising yoga in the company of other women can feel supportive and reminds us that we are NOT alone.
