Sara Rajadel

Acupuncture has been used in China and the far east for over 3000 years. Fine needles stimulate energy or Qi in the meridians, restoring energy balance and promoting self healing.

It is beneficial in treating a wide range of conditions including pain relief, migraine, stress, fatigue, insomnia and depression as well as birth inductions.

Fumie Akiya de Mena

Aromatherapy is a specialised complementary therapy which uses naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants, flowers, fruits, leafs and seeds to balance and harmonise the body at all levels - physical, emotional and spiritual. Essential oils are specially prepared to suit the client’s profile and needs, and massaged into the body. This process stimulates the release of beneficial chemicals within the body responsible for healing various imbalances.

chavutti thirumal
Karina Messer

Chavutti Thirumal, or massage by foot pressure, is unique as the practitioner uses her feet to deliver almost the entire treatment. Muscles are ironed out and toned with flowing continuous strokes from fingertips to feet. It is suitable for anyone as the pressure can be deep but is completely controlled.

Chavutti feels like no other massage, it is powerful yet surprisingly fluid and smooth.

deep tissue massage
Karina Messer

A strong deep massage using oils. Deep tissue work is especially useful for treating imbalances that occur through the overworking or over use of certain muscle groups leading to a constant pain and tension. Problems such as RSI and Tendonitis are fully treatable by massage.

hot oil massage

The exceptional quality of this massage lies in its use of heated oil combined with a variety of techniques drawn from Ayurvedic and Holistic massage, Lymphatic therapy, deep tissue and Sports massage. Tailored to your individual constitution and specific requirements, minor issues are addressed and it can be deeply relaxing.

pregnancy massage
Fumie Akiya de Mena

Pregnancy massage stimulates blood circulation so that more oxygen and nutrients become available to the body’s tissues, helping combat fatigue, increase vitality, and optimising the comfort and nourishment of your baby. Pregnancy massage helps with common problems related to your changing body during pregnancy, such as muscular stiffness, calf cramps, swelling of hands/feet, insomnia and mood swings. Fumie also provides remedial massage for neck and shoulder, lower back and sciatic pain that may develop during pregnancy.

Reflexology treats the whole body by working on the feet. The feet reflect the organs and structures of the body. The reflexologist detects and clears any imbalances or blockages in points in the feet, helping to heal and restore balance, as well as promote positive energy flow in the body.

It works effectively on a variety of levels and is deeply relaxing. It can energize, boost the immune system, improve circulation, help with detoxification and elimination, balance hormones and rebalance the body. It strengthens and supports body function.

shiatsu & pregnancy shiatsu
Caroline Bozkurt

Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing Japanese healing therapy, working with vital energy or “ki” that flows through your body. Shin Tai can help us recover our Life Force and help us feel better physically, emotionally and spiritually. Signs of trapped or unavailable life force are symptoms that won’t go away, feeling unmotivated or fed up with your job or relationships and wanting something to change. As things begin to shift you may feel in better health, more joyful, creative and confident. The world can quite literally look clearer and brighter. Shiatsu is your own private healing session and can also play a nurturing role in your Yoga and Pilates practice.

The most common issues that people bring to a session are:
Stress, sciatica, back pain, migraine, fatigue, anxiety, depression, PMS, sports injuries, digestive disorders, insomnia and asthma.

Caroline specialises in supporting women in pregnancy, labour and post- natally.

You will need to wear warm comfortable clothing with socks and loose trousers. You will lie comfortably on your back, side or front on a shiatsu futon as you are stretched and specific points are worked using thumbs, palms and even feet. It can be gentle, or sometimes dynamic, but always relaxing.

thai yoga massage
Fumie Akiya de Mena

Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art that has been an integral part of traditional Thai medicine, related to Tui Na (Chinese), Ayurvedic (Indian) and Shiatsu (Japanese) massage. It is based on the concept of Qi, an energy line system through which the body's life force flows. The massage releases blocked energy, and frees the body's natural healing potential, thus restoring balance, health and harmony. The therapist applies a combination of acupressure, gentle rocking and twisting, joint and spine mobilizations and assisted yoga stretches, using body-weight instead of strength, in a steady and meditative rhythm.

Thai Yoga Massage is done on a firm futon on the floor with the recipient dressed in light clothes.

Caroline Bozkurt

Life has strange twists and turns. Knowing nothing about shiatsu I attended a workshop out of curiosity.
There I was introduced to the idea of our health being reflected in the balance of our energy, and feeling the presence of that energy under my hands in another person’s body, I was hooked. After three years of study at the British School of Shiatsu- do in London I qualified as a shiatsu practitioner in 1998. I have run a busy practice at Yogahome and a range of other settings, ever since.
As part of my continuing professional development, I attend a range of postgraduate workshops. This includes Shin Tai, the work of Saul Goodman, a powerful development of classical shiatsu. Currently I am also studying Baby Shiatsu with Karin Kalbantner- Wernicke.
A registered member of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS), I follow their Ethics, Rules and Regulations and Code of Professional Conduct. I am insured with the Society’s approved insurer, Balens.
