vinyasa flow yoga : level 2

This class is taught by:

Scarlett Perdereau

Scarlett teaches with emphasis on dynamic alignment, quality of breath and mindfulness. Expect steady-paced sequences that explore the anatomy of the body in movement as well as the subtle, energetic body.

Scarlett originally joined Yogahome as a ballet and contemporary dance teacher in 2006. She started teaching yoga here in 2010 and joined Maria in the office as studio manager in 2014.

She completed the Yogacampus teacher training in 2011 with Susanne Lahusen as her main teacher. She is grateful to have learnt over the years from teachers Anna Ashby, Catherine Annis, Alaric Newcombe, Julie Martin, Alessandra Peccorella, Alan Finger, Katrina Repka, and at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta centre in Kerala. Her approach is also informed by her studies in Somatics during an MA at London Contemporary Dance School, and career in movement and dance.

Shira Hess

Shira's vinyasa flow classes offer carefully designed, progressively complex sequences, inspired by yogic philosohpy. Expect to sweat and work hard. Nourishing hands-on assists will help you access deeper forms of each pose and are a vital part of her classes, along with pranayama (breath exercises) and mantras.

Shira trained with Claire Missingham and her teaching remains deeply rooted in her powerful approach to vinyasa flow.

What guides Shira as a teacher and as an eternal, humble student is the deep belief that yoga is a tool and catalyst for growth.

Isabell Britsch

Isabell's vinyasa flow classes offer imaginative, sometimes challenging and always fun sequences, balancing the energy of dynamic movement with the stillness of a moving meditation. Her teaching is warm and welcoming and often includes yoga philosophy and pranayama.

In addition to her long standing personal meditation practice, Isabell regularly attends silent Vipassana retreats and this mindfulness practice informs her meditation and pranayama classes.

Isabell trained with Yogacampus and holds British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance accreditation. She studies with some of the world's leading yoga teachers including Richard Freeman, Shiva Rea and Rod Stryker and has trained in yin yoga with Sarah Powers.

Vinyasa flow yoga is a dynamic flowing practice taught to music. This class flows through a sequence of postures creating a moving meditation.

Based on the ashtanga tradition, but in vinyasa flow each class is different with a variety of creative sequences.

This is a strong class, so not suitable for beginners.
