Brooke McConochy

Brooke is a fitness teacher with a foundation in Pilates and a love of dance. Expect a strong workout in her Pilates classes, with an hour packed full of exercises.

Having straightened the hunched shoulders of journalists from the NY Times, the LA Times, the Financial Times, The Times of London, The Wall Street Journal, AP, and AFP, Brooke is proud to say many of the journalists of the world stand a little taller thanks to her! She also taught Pilates extensively across Beijing for 5 years, strengthening the core of China’s diplomatic corps and students from various embassies.

Brooke has completed the Network Pilates Fundamental and Intermediate Mat work courses, Remedial work course, and Personal Training course. She has also trained in the Xtend Barre Basic Repertoire.

Akane Abe-Trimmer

Akane is a Pilates and contemporary dance teacher. Her Pilates classes incorporate movement for spinal release and are always refreshing and fun!

Akane completed a BA in Sport Science at Chukyo University in Japan and taught aerobic and jazz dance before moving to Europe and training in mime theatre and contemporary dance. In 2003 she completed the Pilates Foundation UK's Matwork Teaching qualification, and in 2012 she was awarded an MA in contemporary dance from the London Contemporary Dance School. She has been teaching Pilates and contemporary dance both in England and Japan for thirteen years.


Alessandra Margarito

Alessandra is a Pilates teacher with a clear and dynamic teaching style. Her studies of anatomy as well as creative and intuitive approach, give her an understanding of how to ease bodies of all shapes and sizes into feeling energised, relaxed and finding greater freedom of movement.


Alessandra is a qualified Pilates Foundation teacher, and also holds a British Wheel of Yoga accreditation.


Ivona Behalova


Ivona's Pilates classes have a relaxed and steady pace, where you feel supported in addressing any postural issues and discomforts.

As a musician, Ivona developed a bad posture and repetitive strain injury. After 5 years of practising Pilates to strengthen and rebalance her body, she trained as a teacher. She is passionate about helping people to improve their quality of life by improving their posture and getting rid of any pain.

Danai Pappa

Danai teaches Pilates with a focus on fluidity, achieving better control, awareness and precision of movement. She also encourages students to have fun while improving their physical well being.
Danai is a dancer and choreographer, practised in a range of physical techniques, and qualified in Pilates matwork with Body Control Pilates.

Anja Schall

Anja's classes are explorative, slow-paced, gentle but deeply effective, with great attention to detail and a light-hearted approach.


Initially interested in physiotherapy, Anja found a love for Pilates during her Contemporary dance career. She completed the Pilates Foundation matwork teacher training at London Contemporary Dance School in 2008, and the Studio Equipment Bridging course at Trinity Laban in 2010.


Anja qualified as a Pregnancy and Postnatal Pilates teacher in 2009 and also offers teacher training courses in this area. Since Summer 2017 Anja is certified to teach the Centre Method for Diastasis Recovery by Carolyne Anthony, The Centre for Women's Fitness, and also attended her courses 'Support your Floor' and 'Pilates for Menopause Programme'.


Symeon Kyriakopoulos

Symeon teaches dynamic yet detailed Pilates classes, with emphasis on practicing safely and accurately while encouraging the mind-body connection. Expect focus on fundamental biomechanic principles and on the breath, and feedback so that everyone can master the exercises and make effective choices for their bodies inside and outside of class.

Symeon is a London based choreographer and a Certified Stott Pilates instructor. His background includes training at the Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance, completing an ITEC diploma in Holistic Massage, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Dance Science (LABAN). He draws from these various areas of knowledge (exercise science, biomechanics, dance, massage) to deliver Pilates classes where everyone can master the exercises and benefit fully from them.


Pilates is a technique for strengthening and toning the core postural muscles, especially in the abdominal area. Using small focused movements, core awareness is increased improving strength, flexibility and posture.

Each teacher has their own approach so if you need a slow and detailed class we recommend Anja and Symeon, but if you want a tough workout go to Brooke. Ivona keeps her classes at a steady but relaxed pace, and if you like creative teachers try Akane, Alessandra and Danai!

All levels - Open to all, no experience necessary.

If you have a history of injuries or any other issues, we recommend our Level 1 class and teachers with a slower approach (see above).
